Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Tiles load only after you press the button on a map — nothing is requested from any tile server before that.
The federal datasets are United States Government works and are in the public domain. The NUCC taxonomy code set is freely redistributable. This site adds the plain-language explanations of each licence type, which are our own.
