Privacy policy
Effective 31 August 2026
The short version
This is a static website with no accounts and no logins, and we set no cookies of our own. The only place we collect information from you directly is the contact and removal forms. We do use Google Analytics , which set their own cookies and are described below.
Information about the providers listed here
This is the part of our privacy practice that matters most, because most of the personal information on this site is not about visitors — it is about the providers we list.
Names, credentials, practice addresses and phone numbers come from NPPES, the federal provider registry published by CMS. That data is public and CMS releases it in bulk explicitly for public use. Providers supply the practice address themselves so that patients can find them.
We are aware that public does not mean unconditional. Some solo practitioners register a home address, and a searchable listing is not the same thing as a row in an 11 GB government file. So:
- Removal is unconditional. Ask and we remove you — no reason required, no verification hoops beyond confirming the NPI is yours. Request removal.
- Removal is complete, not cosmetic. A removed provider is excluded from detail pages, listings, counts, density figures, nearby-provider lists and the sitemap.
- Maps show ZIP areas, not addresses. We do not geocode individual street addresses, so no map on this site pinpoints anyone's door.
- We do not enrich. We do not join this data with social profiles, licence board records, reviews or any other source to build a fuller picture of a person.
Practice addresses are self-reported to CMS and are not always kept current. Some solo practitioners register a home address. If a listing is yours and you would like it removed, use the removal request form.
What we collect from you
Forms
If you use the contact or removal form we receive what you type: your name, email address, the message, and for removals the NPI number. We use it to respond and to action the request. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share it.
Server logs
The web server records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and user agent — used for operating and securing the site. They are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
What we do not collect
- No advertising or tracking pixels
- No cookies set by this site under its own name
- No fingerprinting
- No accounts, profiles or saved searches
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, which is how we decide what to work on next. Nothing on this site changes based on who you are, because we do not know who you are.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies (names beginning _ga) and Google processes the data on our behalf. You can block it with a content blocker, or opt out everywhere with Google's browser add-on . The site works identically either way.
Maps
Maps do not load until you press the button on them. Nothing is requested from any map provider before that point, and coordinates and external map links are shown without needing the map at all.
If you do press it, tiles are fetched from OpenFreeMap, which — like any request to another server — reveals your IP address and browser to them.
Advertising
This site does not currently display advertising and sets no advertising cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated before any advertising appears.
Your rights
We hold very little about visitors, so most requests resolve quickly. If you have written to us and want the correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. If you are a listed provider, see the section above — removal is unconditional.
